Avastin 100mg Injection is an anticancer medicine that is used alone or in combination with other medicines for the treatment of various types of cancers such as colorectal cancer, glioblastoma multiforme, renal cell carcinoma, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer etc. These injection is an anti-angiogenic medication. The medicine works by blocking a protein called vascular endothetial growth factor. Further these injection stops the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to cancerous cells.

The side effects of Avastin 100mg Injection are:

Common allergic reactions include swelling of facial features, hives, trouble breathing and abnormal bleeding from the mouth/nose/rectum/vagina/digestive tract/brain. Other side effects are vomiting, constipation, fever, chest pain, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, skin infection, back pain, missed periods and headache.

After taking these medication it can be observed rapidly after intravenous administration. These injection is not recommended for use in pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and before taking the medication the risk and benefit should be discussed with the doctor. Even the medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary and even the doctor may advise to discontinue the drug or to discontinue breastfeeding.
